I wish I could surf!

This bundle of joy is Keegan. He allowed my to take pictures of him this past weekend for my environmental portraits assignment. He has lived in Myrtle Beach his entire life, so you could say he's a pretty great surfer. We had to portray the south from our pictures. Because i'm a northerner I thought being at the beach and living by it was a great way to bring about southern culture. When I think of the south I think of the beach! So I took this photogenic eighth grader and he was loving it!
We had a few problems with my wireless flash but worked those out. Then it was so bright that I really didn't need my flash and turned my ISO all the way down (200). After working out those things, the pictures really came out nicely. I am learning so much especially taking photos in different scenarios. First it was at a softball game under clouds and then it was on the beach under the bright sun!
