A Softball Experience

This past weekend a group of us went to shoot a softball game with Professor McGill. It was my first time shooting sports and I enjoy it very much. The weather was chilly and I was unprepared but at the time I was more worried with being prepared with all my camera equipment than dressing warm enough. It's cool when you are the one capturing the action that is going along with the game in order to tell the story. The game went into extra innings and got intense very quickly. I learned that in some sports like softball there is limited action so you have to be ready to capture every great play. You are going to want that shot full of action!

Important when shooting sports, because it's all about the motion you want to be able to catch it quickly. We were using fast shutter speeds and continuous shooting so we could capture more frames. I can't wait for my next sports adventure.

I decided to share one of the photos I took this weekend. It is one of my favorites.
