This past summer I adventured to Munich, Germany with the Journalism school. It was called Maymester in Munich and we learned a variety of new things while touring different places. This was taken in Austria before one of the storms that night. It is one of my favorite pictures I had taken while over in Europe.
I love the colors and the contrast of it all. The darkness of the sky and then the blue-green waters below with the white buildings on each side. Overall, I felt it was a really nice picture. The mountains in the backgrounds also add a great touch to it as a whole. It would probably be in the scenic genre. I mentioned in my first post that I love taking pictures of people cause I like to try to capture their emotions or memories themselves. I also like scenes; I cherish the beauty of every different sky their is. Sunsets, storms, sunrise, clear blue, all of them. Adding some sort of different and beautiful backdrop always adds to a photo in my opinion.
What draws me into loving this photo is the light, the colors ( i love color), the evenness of it but then the difference of what is below and above the horizon. It helps me to remember my experience while abroad and picture twenty of us, umbrellas flying running for our bus to beat the storm. I usually shoot pictures for fun and for a keep sake but when I see something I really enjoy and turns into a great photo, that is when I want to show and tell.
